The 8th annual Sisters Fresh Hop Festival returns this Saturday, Sep. 30
The annual Sisters Fresh Hop Festival returns to Village Green Park in Sisters, Oregon this Saturday, September 30. This year’s eight edition of this fest features 26 breweries, quite a bit more than the ten that originally appeared at the inaugural event back in 2010. It takes place from noon to 8pm, and proceeds from the event will help to benefit the American Cancer Society as well as the Central Oregon Brewers Guild.
Here’s the description from the Facebook event page:

Many, if not most, of these breweries will have two beers pouring, though it’s not always the case that both beers are fresh hopped. And some will only have one available (usually the out of town breweries, whose beers are provided by Bigfoot Beverages in this case). Still, I expect a good 30 to 40 fresh hops beers on tap, which at four ounces per taste is more than enough to get your (my) fill!
Village Green Park is a great venue for this fest, and it’s remained thankfully low-key over the years that I’ve been attending (granted, I don’t stay late into the evening). If you’re anywhere around Central Oregon this weekend, and you love fresh hops, then you owe it to yourself to attend.
See you there!
