Received: Pumpkin beers from Montauk, Blue Point Brewing

Received: Montauk Brewing Pumpkin Ale, Blue Point Brewing Mother Pumpkin Ale and Oktoberfest

Pumpkin beer season is here again, and you may have seen pumpkin beers starting to appear on the shelves since the beginning of the month. I already have a bunch in my fridge (of course) and recently I also received two pumpkin ales and an Oktoberfest from Montauk Brewing and Blue Point Brewing (both from New York, and both owned by Tilray Brands).

Here are some details on each:

  • Blue Point Mother Pumpkin Ale – 5.5% ABV. “Our golden Pumpkin Ale features all the flavors of fall: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice. These spicy characteristics take the lead in this roasty beer while the malty backbone adds to the tremendous depth of character.”
  • Montauk Pumpkin Ale – 5.7% ABV. “Fall in Montauk is pure magic—cooler air, vibrant leaves, and peaceful beaches. Montauk Pumpkin Ale captures the season perfectly with its balanced spices, pumpkin comfort, and subtle hop aromas.”
  • Blue Point Oktoberfest – 5.7% ABV. “Oktoberfest is our seasonal Marzen Style Lager. Originally brewed a couple of hundred years ago to celebrate the betrothal of the Crown Prince of Bavaria, we’re helping keep the tradition alive by brewing Oktoberfest every fall for our most royal/loyal followers. Blue Point Oktoberfest is a rare example of the traditional German Oktoberfest style, particularly on the East coast where autumn seasonals are more common.”
