A new look for Schlafly Beer’s Summer Lager
Another popular beer from Schlafly Beer gets the brand refresh as it rolls off the new canning line: Summer Lager. It’s a German-style Helles lager with 4.5% ABV. The new 12-packs contain 16-ounce cans and the branding does give off a summer vacation vibe.
Press release:
Another brand refresh comes off the Saint Louis Brewery’s™ new canning line
Schlafly Beer, the original, independent craft brewery in St. Louis, announces the return of Summer Lager (4.5% ABV), a fan-favorite summer beer with a brand new look. Summer Lager is available now across Schlafly’s distribution as well as the Schlafly brewpubs in the St. Louis region: Schlafly Tap Room in downtown St. Louis, Schlafly Bottleworks in the Maplewood neighborhood of St. Louis, Schlafly Bankside in St. Charles, MO and Schlafly Highland Square in Highland, IL.
The Helles-Style Summer Lager offers a smooth, maltier and hoppier alternative to light lagers. Summer Lager is a bright, golden beer, wholly representative of what summertime should taste like. The malt imparts a fresh grain character, while the German hops lend notes of spice and lemon.
“This sessionable beer is brewed with German Hops, creating an easily drinkable beer, perfect to enjoy on a warm summer day,” says Lead Brewer Jared Williamson. “We wanted to create a beer can design that reflects Summer Lager’s drinkability, especially at the lake, beach or sitting poolside.”
Earlier this year, the Saint Louis Brewery announced that it invested $1.1 million into a new canning line at Schlafly Bottleworks brewpub (7260 Southwest Ave, St. Louis, MO 63143) to upgrade its beer packaging capabilities and facilities and to revitalize the brand look of its cans. Summer Lager is another brand refresh to come off the new canning line.
Schlafly’s Summer Lager can be found across the brewery’s distribution as well as on draft and in bottles at the Schlafly Bottleworks, Tap Room, Bankside and Highland brewpubs. For more on Schlafly Beer’s distribution and products, visit Schlafly’s website.
