We touched on Santa Claus very briefly in a roundabout way back on the 6th (St. Nicholas Day, with St. Nicholas being a northern European precursor/version of Santa), but the Beer Advent Calendar hasn’t yet featured a Santa-themed beer.

Three Floyds Brewing from Munster, Indiana to the rescue with their Alpha Klaus, a hugely popular “Santa” beer that is a comfortable 6% abv and reflects the brewery’s unique spin on the season.

Alpha Klaus is Alpha King’s festive cousin. A big American Christmas Porter brewed with English chocolate malt, Mexican sugar and of course, tons of strange American hops. Cheers!

Whether it’s Santa Claus, Father Christmas, St. Nicholas, Père Noël, Sinterklaas, Kris Kringle, Weihnachtsmann, or—thanks to Three Floyds—Alpha Klaus, let’s hope he’s coming to town and bringing you a little taste of Indiana.
