Today’s Advent beer pick comes from Missoula, Montana, and Big Sky Brewing which celebrated its 21st anniversary this year: Biere De Noël. Perhaps when you think of Big Sky the beer that comes to mind is their flagship Moose Drool (an amazingly solid brown ale, of which there are not nearly enough on the market) or even their regular winter ale, Powder Hound. If so then hopefully Biere De Noël, which comes from their specialty line of big, hand-bottled beers, is a nice surprising Christmas gift of a beer.

A strong Begian style dark ale, Biere De Nöel is brewed in small quantities for the holidays. Hand packaged & bottle conditioned, this beer is best poured gently and enjoyed at 50˚ F.

At over 10% alcohol by volume this is a sharing beer, and a perfect warmer to get you though those chilly, snowy Montana winter nights.
