For the first time ever on the Beer Advent Calendar I am selecting a cider! Corvallis, Oregon-based 2 Towns Ciderhouse has been crafting their Nice & Naughty Spiced Imperial Hard Apple Cider for the holidays for several years now. This is a 10.5% alcohol by volume cider that is made with fresh-pressed apples all sourced from the Pacific Northwest. 2 Towns says:

Festive and warming, Nice & Naughty is crammed full of whole cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and a touch of honey to celebrate the season.

Cider’s presence has been growing over the past few years, and here in Oregon in particular, 2 Towns has been making some impressive, complex ciders. It was past time to include a cider on this annual calendar, and Nice & Naughty is an easy-drinking holiday tipple despite its strength. With the addition of the baking spices, it is very reminiscent of mulled cider or even of apple pie, and while a bit boozy the big alcohol presence is well hidden.

Santa has been checking his list twice to find out who’s naughty and nice, but perhaps in either case you’ll find some of this Nice & Naughty under your tree this year.
