Advent Beer Calendar 2018: Day 12: NoDa Hoppy Holidays
We are at the halfway point for the Advent beer calendar! For this twelfth day we’re visiting Charlotte, North Carolina and NoDa Brewing. NoDa offers up a holiday IPA named, appropriately enough, Hoppy Holidays. In addition to the hops, NoDa spruces up this IPA with, er, spruce tips to accentuate the pine and citrus character.
Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, we wish you holiday cheer with this small batch, medium-bodied brew. Loaded with six scrumptious hop varieties complemented by citrus notes and a brisk piney aroma, it’s the perfect beer for the most wonderful time of the year. So Hoppy Holidays, from your friends at NoDa Brewing. [via Untappd]
Winter IPAs can make a nice break from the maltier, heavier offerings of the season, and the touch of spruce NoDa incorporates should be reminiscent of a Christmas tree in all the right ways. It’s 6.5% alcohol by volume and 60 IBUs, bringing a nicely drinkable balance to the palate as well.
NoDa offers Hoppy Holidays on draft and in 16-ounce cans, ideal for gifting and wishing happy holidays to friends and family.
