For today’s Advent beer pick we pop back over to Minnesota to visit Indeed Brewing in Minneapolis. Indeed offers a diverse variety of beers in its lineup, but when it comes to this time of the year, the brewery stays traditional with a spiced winter ale: Old Friend Winter Warmer.

Raise a glass to a good year past and reconnect with an Old Friend, our limited-release Winter Warmer brewed with fresh ginger root and honey. Deep ruby red with layers of malt complexity and a zippy aroma, this fireside companion brings tidings of comfort and joy.

Old Friend incorporates fresh ginger and Thai ginger, as well as sweet and bitter orange peel to accompany the blueberry honey. The New World hops Mosaic and Lemondrop give a citrusy twist to the classic winter warmer style, though there are only 15 IBUs in this beer, which is 7.5% alcohol by volume.

This sounds like just the beer to share on a chilly night, with friends old and new.
