Advent Beer Calendar 2020: Day 8: Brewery Dinkelacker Schwaben Bräu WeihnachtsBier
In Germany and other German-speaking countries, Weihnachten is German for Christmas, and many celebrate the holiday throughout the Advent season which begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day. Naturally, many breweries produce a special Weihnachtsbier for the season as well. Located in Stuttgart, Germany, the Familienbrauerei Dinkelacker is no exception; in the brewery’s Schwaben Bräu line, it offers a traditional Christmas beer in its WeihnachtsBier, our Advent beer pick for today.
Back every year, and always welcomed with tremendous appreciation: Schwaben Bräu’s Christmas beer is a seasonal beer specialty in a strong golden color with a rich, full-bodied flavour. For those who appreciate an elegant festival beer at Christmas. Season’s greetings and good wishes for the New Year come with this bottom-fermented specialty, which is skillfully produced to a traditional recipe. Brewed in accordance with the German Purity Law.
Schwaben Bräu’s WeihnachtsBier is brewed with pilsner malt, Herkules hops for bittering, and Perle hops for aroma, and is 5.5% alcohol by volume. It’s an elegant winter festbier offering up rich and malty notes.
Dinkelacker-Schwaben Bräu has been crafting beer for well over a century, dating to 1878, and today offers beers under several brands including Dinkelacker, Schwaben Bräu, and Sanwald.
