Bend Brewing introduces new Pub Series of beers in 16-ounce cans
Bend Brewing Company announced today a new series of limited-release beers in 16-ounce cans, suitably named the Pub Series, that would otherwise have only been available at its pub. It’s a smart move in this age of COVID-19 and the current statewide “freeze” that affects restaurants and pubs (among others).
Here’s the press release with details:
Bend Brewing Company is excited to announce the addition of the new Pub Series to their can lineup. The Pub Series allows BBC to release small batch beers that would normally only be found at our downtown Bend brewpub to a wider audience.
Our inaugural release in the Pub Series is Waist Deep Winter Ale. Waist Deep is the quintessential Northwest winter warmer and features premium UK malts and hops. Full bodied with loads of dark fruit malt character, Waist Deep is the perfect beer to keep you warm until the snow stops falling. Waist Deep is available now in the Portland area through Point Blank and in Central Oregon through Bigfoot Beverages.
Next up is Killer Stashe NW Pale Ale. Killer Stashe began as a revival of the classic American pale ale and has evolved into a modern NW pale showcasing a single hop variety. Each Killer Stashe release will feature a different hop with the variety printed on the bottom of the can. BBC brewers were early adopters of the increasingly popular, Oregon grown, Strata hops and chose to feature them for the initial Killer Stashe release. Killer Stashe-Strata will be available in the Portland area this week through Point Blank and hit shelves in Central Oregon the following week through Bigfoot Beverages.
New Pub Series beers will be released throughout the year.
