Bend’s Fermentation Celebration is tonight
Tonight is the 2nd annual Fermentation Celebration taking place here in Bend down in the Old Mill District: a “beer walk” with all 20 of Central Oregon’s breweries represented, as well as the local homebrew club. Each brewery (and the club) will be variously positioned at pouring stations around the shopping district, and people who have the official Silipint and tasting tickets will be able to sample the wide variety of beers that are brewed here.
And it’s not just beer: there will also be Atlas Cider and Red Tank Cider (Bend’s new cideries), Nectar of the Gods Meadery (also from Bend), and Naked Winery (out of Hood River with a new tasting room in Bend).
The Celebration runs from 5 to 10pm and costs $20 for the Silipint and 8 drink tickets (each of which gets you a 4-ounce pour), which can be purchased anytime starting at 10am today (with final sales ending at 9 tonight) down in the Old Mill’s Ticket Mill location. Overall entry is free however—it’s an open-air shopping center, so you can’t regulate the entire area—so it’ll only cost if you want the beer.
There will be live music as well, and you can find the details on their Facebook event page; overall it’s going to be a fun night with a lot of good beer flowing, and it will be a good chance to try many of the region’s brews that you may not yet have tried. Don’t miss out!
