Brewery Xo event space soft opening is this Saturday, May 25
This Saturday, May 25, the new and upcoming Brewery Xo is hosting a soft opening of its upstairs event space at its location in Toledo, Oregon. Brewery Xo is the project of Jen Kent, longtime head brewer of McMenamins Thompson Brewery in Salem, which I first wrote about four years ago; it’s a labor of love for Kent that is close to coming to fruition.
Over on the brewery’s Instagram page, Kent writes:
Hello Toledo! I’m having a soft opening/open house of Brewery Xo’s event space on Saturday May 25th. The day will start with a silent auction from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. with proceeds going back into the business. Come see all the amazing donations my friends have made. Starting at 5 p.m. will be a dance Hafla so you can meet my dance family and see the space in its entertainment form. Rounding out the evening at 6:30 p.m will be music by Adam Michael Goldwaithe. $10 suggested donation for the evening entertainment goes towards the artists for their time and travel. Snacks and drinks will also be available. My goal with the upstairs space is to have a place for the community to be able to rent for meetings, events, weddings etc and also bring more music and art events to Toledo. I really hope to see you there and want to thank the community so much for the warm welcome I have received from the people I have met so far!
The address is 161 S.E. 2nd Street in Toledo (near the Oregon Coast just east of Newport).
