More beer news from the South, as Carolina Brewery continues its expansion and announced its availability in every Harris Teeter across Charlotte, North Carolina. Harris Teeter is a retail and grocery store chain that spans seven states. Based on the company’s website, it appears to have 31 stores in Charlotte alone.
Press release from the brewery:
Carolina Brewery announces the expanded reach of its award-winning craft beer into every Harris Teeter across Charlotte, N.C. Carolina Brewery’s ultra crisp Sky Blue Kolsch and Costero Mexican Lager will be available in six-packs throughout the greater Charlotte area, making their beer accessible statewide.
“We are very excited to be chosen for the Harris Teeter statewide beer sets this spring and this now puts us firmly in the craft beer world in the greater Charlotte area. We have a lot of supporters in the Charlotte area who have been asking us for years where they can buy our cans and now we have the answer,” said Robert Poitras, CEO of Carolina Brewery. “Charlotte has a lot of great local breweries that we know well and we are honored to now be on tap and in the grocery store beside them.”
Carolina Brewery is partnered with Adams Beverage, located in Charlotte, N.C., to help accomplish their goals of being a major brewery player in the greater Charlotte area. Adams Beverage offers distribution services throughout North Carolina and Alabama. Their mission is to provide quality beverages and top-notch service to their customers. Carolina Brewery also is partnered with The North Carolina Coastal Federation and will be donating a portion of all Harris Teeter proceeds each year to the organization. The North Carolina Coastal Federation helps protect and restore the North Carolina coast and Carolina Brewery is excited to team up with them to be a part of their mission. “The Carolina Coasts”, a Looma Project film, is now live in every Harris Teeter across Charlotte, N.C. as a part of Carolina Brewery’s beer display.
Easily overlooked in this release is the fact that proceeds from the brewery’s beer sales at the Harris Teeter stores will be donated to the North Carolina Coast Foundation; this seems like a worthwhile contribution that could potentially raise a nice bit of money.
