CBC Events: Central Oregon Brewers Guild Brews & Beats
Since I already posted about Deschutes Brewery’s Beer Machines event during the Craft Brewers Conference next week, I figured I’d also highlight some of the other events going on next week in Portland. Not all of them, obviously—I mean, look at how big this list is!—but a few that are of interest to me and that I’ll likely (try to) attend.
On Wednesday, the 15th, starting at 6pm the Central Oregon Brewers Guild is holding their event dubbed “Brews & Beats” at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom (on West Burnside, downtown). I’m highlighting this for somewhat obvious reasons—it’s a great showcase of beers from my hometown area that a lot of CBC attendees have not experienced, plus I know most of the folks involved.
Here’s the description:
Central Oregon breweries have come together to provide an exhilarating experience of specialty beers and fantastic music at the Crystal Ballroom. Kicking the night off with music from DJ Miss Briana & Twitt from Portland and headlining the event is the band Black Pistol Fire – a rock/blues/punk duo that split their time between Ontario and Austin. Breweries that will be bringing some fun and interesting brews are GoodLife Brewing, Worthy Brewing, Sunriver Brewing, Deschutes Brewery, Mcmenamins OSF, Silver Moon Brewing, Bend Brewing Company, Wild Ride Brewing, Crux Fermentation Project, Three Creeks, Solstice and more!
Tickets are $15 presale and general public; $10 at the door with your CBC badge!
If you want to pre-purchase tickets you can do so on the Crystal Ballroom’s page here.
These are some terrific breweries being showcased, and at only $10/$15 is a really good deal considering the beer and the music. (You don’t have to be attending CBC to attend, but you do get that discount if you are.)
