Corvallis Beer Week kicks off today
I had made a brief mention of Corvallis Beer Week back in August, but today’s the day: the kickoff for this latest of Oregon’s Beer Weeks starts this afternoon:
It all starts with a Ninkasi Brewing Co. Tasting at Corvallis Brewing Supply from 4 – 6PM! Meet Ryan and the Ninkasi crew as they sample us there latest brews and here the story of how Ninkasi came to be a trailblazer in the Northwest brewing scence.
At 6PM sharp we are going to storm town hall in support of Craft Beer! Wait….no….that’s not right. However, we are going to march starting at 6PM from Corvallis Brewing Supply to Bomb’s Away Cafe for the Corvallis Beer Week kick off party that starts at 7PM. Of course being Craft Beer fans, we will have to stop half way and snag a pint and maybe even some grub at Roxy Dawgs!
Corvallis of course is home to Block 15, Oregon Trail Brewery, and Flat Tail Brewing, as well as a couple of McMenamins pubs (their Monroe location also has a brewery); neighboring Albany has Calapooia Brewing. And with Eugene just over 40 miles south and Portland about 85 miles north, there’s plenty of other beers options available.
Corvallis Beer Week runs from today (the 12th) through Sunday the 18th and they have a nice lineup of events listed. You can also keep tabs on their Facebook page.
