Three Creeks Brewing vertical tasting of Rudolph’s Imperial Red
I’ve been terribly remiss in posting this (it’s been a long week or two): Three Creeks Brewing over in Sisters (here in Central Oregon) is holding their Rudolph’s Imperial Red vertical tasting tomorrow, Friday the 14th, at the brewery starting at 6pm. They have four year’s worth of Rudolph’s to offer (though it was first brewed in 2008, it looks like the 2009 isn’t part of the flight), and head brewer Zach Beckwith sent over these details:
Our annual vertical tasting of Rudolph’s Imperial Red will be held next Friday December 14th at 6pm at our pub in Sisters. We have a limited number of seats available. $20 includes a flight of 5 beers and appetizers. The flight will include 2008 Rudolph’s Imperial Red, Whiskey Barrel Aged 2010 Rudolph’s Imperial Red, 2011 Rudolph’s Imperial Red, 2012 Rudolph’s Imperial Red and a sneak peak of the Whiskey Barrel Aged Crosswalk Imperial Porter. We’ve also invited ex-Three Creeks brewers, Pat Shea and Dave Fleming to attend the event to talk about the vintages they brewed in the flight.
And from this post on Facebook it look like at least Pat O’Shea (currently brewing at Bend’s Crux Fermentation Project) will be on hand:
Friday night, the 14th at 6 p.m. the real fun begins with the last of our 2008 stash, a 2010 barrel aged beauty, the 2011 and of course this years 2012 vintage. All 4 are being paired with fantastic appetizers and one special dessert. Get here early and stake out your table…..
Mr. Patio Shea will be returning to the scene to discuss the 10/11 brews. Make sure to say HI!
$20 for the flight of 5 beers (the four Rudolph’s and the sneak peek of the Imperial Porter Beckwith mentions) plus appetizers is a steal, and I think this should be a great night of tasting. If you have the opportunity to make it to this tasting, I would highly recommend it!
If you wanted to try to sign up early I believe you can email heidi@threecreeksbrewing.com to do so.
