Between its two pubs in Bend and in Portland, Deschutes Brewery has a big lineup of fresh hop beers coming out this  year. As usual, Chasin’ Freshies Fresh Hop IPA is returning in cans, and will be featuring fresh Idaho 7 hops this time around. It will be out in October; the description sent to me says:

This year’s annual Fresh Hop release features Idaho 7 hops loaded with notes of apricot, tangerine, and papaya paired with pine and hints of floral. This late season hop is worth the wait as we love our pilot brew with Idaho 7 which takes longer to develop its signature flavor and aroma of zesty tangerine and pine deliciousness.

For the pub brewed beers, here’s the planned lineup for the Bend Pub (the first, Killer Coleman, is already available):

• Killer Coleman Fresh Centennial IPA
  • Target ABV/IBU: 6.4%/55
  • Fresh Coleman Farms hops added post-fermentation highlight this single varietal IPA. Floral with notes of cucumber and fresh-cut grass.
• All About the Amarillo Fresh Hop IPA
  • Target ABV/IBU: 6.7%/50
  • Bright citrus character from fresh Crosby Amarillo hops added hot side, supported by Mosaic and Strata dry hopping.
• Fresh Hop Azacca Rye IPA
  • Target ABV/IBU: 7.0%/70
  • Grown at Goschie Farms, the fresh hops are bright and tropical with support from Mosaic and Sabro hops and a light rye spice.
• Fresh Hop Idaho 7 Hazy IPA
  • Target ABV/IBU: 6.2%/40
  • Juicy citrus notes and soft mouthfeel featuring Coleman Farms grown Idaho 7 hops supported by Simcoe hops.
• Experimental Fresh Hop IPA
  • Target ABV/IBU: 7.2%/40
  • EXP 1320 fresh hops are the star here. We like trying new things!

And here is what’s in store for the Portland Pub:

• Fresh Hop King Crispy
  • ABV 4.8%, IBU 40.
  • Light, slightly bready pilsner malt character with a crisp clean finish. Flowery, herbal, earthy with a slightly spicy hop character from fresh Tettnang hops. Goschie Farms
• Fresh Hop Strut your Strata
  • ABV 6.6% IBU 45.
  • Hazy IPA with a soft pillowy mouthfeel. Big tangerine and pineapple flavors complimented by tropical fruit aromas from hot side Fresh Strata hops. Dank, pungent and juicy. Indie hops grown by Goschie Farms.
• Fresh Hop Mirror Pond
  • ABV 5% IBU 40.
  • A Portland local’s favorite. Crisp, single hop pale ale with a smooth caramel malt character. Fresh cold side Cascade hops offer notes of cucumber, citrus and melon. Goschie Farms
• Fresh Hop Holy Lot!
  • 6.5% IBU 70.
  • Bright, smooth, clean WC IPA with pronounced but balanced bitterness. Loaded with fresh Mosaic hops providing broad and complex aromas of tropical fruit, pine and citrus. Coleman hops
• Yet to be named -Fresh Hop IPA collab with Zero Gravity Brewing out of Vermont
  • ABV 6.6% IBU 65.
  • A single hop American IPA utilizing fresh Citra hops both hot and cold side. Smooth bitterness, floral citrus aromas and flavors. Grapefruit, citrus, peach and melon. Coleman hops
