Elysian Brewing is expanding its “Space Dust” line with the addition of a new year-round beer inspired by its flagship Space Dust IPA — Juice Dust Juicy IPA. Like its predecessor, Juice Dust is 8.2% ABV with 73 IBUs; what sets it apart is a different malt bill and the addition of orange juice during brewing.

It’s available now on draft and in cans, and the brewery recently sent me a couple of cans to try and review. I’ll have notes on those at some point.

The arrival of Juice Dust also comes at a great time for consumers: As 2023 wrapped, Space Dust proudly claimed the title of Washington’s #1 craft brand and secured a spot in the top 10 craft brands nationwide, according to Circana.* This sets the stage for Elysian’s Juice Dust to make its mark, especially as the Juicy IPA category thrives; in the last four years, beers in this category have grown seven-fold. It’s also notable that only 20 brands were added to the data set during this period. With these impressive stats, Juice Dust IPA is well-positioned to ride the juicy wave of success alongside Space Dust, promising a journey marked by triumph and growth.

Juice Dust IPA is currently pouring at all three of Elysian’s local Seattle pub locations: Elysian Fields, Capitol Hill, and the Elysian Taproom. Additionally, 6-pack 12 oz. cans of Juice Dust IPA are regionally available at selected retailers in WA, OR, and CA. Further West Coast availability, along with the expansion of 19.2oz cans, is expected in March. In the same month, Juice Dust will make its national debut as part of the Elysian Imperial IPA Mix Pack, joining Space Dust, Dank Dust and Full Contact. This mix pack invites IPA enthusiasts to explore the diverse and hoppy dimensions offered by the Seattle brewery.
