It’s Theme Week again this week at The Brew Site, and this month I’ve selected the beers of France to write about all week. French beers are a topic that no one seems to talk much about: France after all is most known for their wine.

French Beer Week was inspired by this month’s Session, wherein I wrote a bit about the Bière de Garde style, the only beer style native to France. (In fact, this week was nearly Bière de Garde Week—but France overall caught my attention and was more appealing in the end.)

Turns out there’s more to French beer than one would expect at first glance; I’m finding a number of interesting links and items to point to. And I’ll have some beers to write about too. On y va!
