GoodLife Brewing released Peach Chardonnay Hybrid Wine Ale (received)
Recently GoodLife Brewing released its latest barrel-aged creation, a blend of saison-style ale with grape must and peaches to culminate in Peach Chardonnay, what the brewery is calling a “Hybrid Wine Ale.” Here’s the description:
Saison meets Chardonnay with a Peach forward aroma and subtly sweet finish. Barrel-Aged Saison Style Ale and fresh press Chardonnay grape juice, aged with Brettanomyces in French Oak Barrels for 12 months then refermented with peaches to create a truly unique Hybrid Wine Ale.
The brewery gave me two bottles of Peach Chardonnay to sample, along with a six-pack of its Beach Life P.O.G. Pale Ale. Peach Chardonnay will be going into an upcoming article for the newspaper, and I’ll post a review of Beach Life sometime soon.
