My latest article for my local newspaper is out, on the topic of homebrewers teaming up with commercial, pro brewers to brew their recipes commercially: Deschutes releases Hazmat Munich Dunkel Thursday.

The title refers to the Pro-Am beer Deschutes Brewery brewed with COHO member Joe Mikus. But more importantly, I also delve into other recent homebrew/probrew collaborations that have taken place in Central Oregon recently, including ones with Bend Brewing Company and Three Creeks Brewing. Silver Moon Brewing has also hosted an annual homebrew competition the past several years.

It was also a fun one since I’m involved with (and current president of) COHO. And I’m looking forward to sampling Joe’s beer!
