We are almost to the weekend! Here’s the Oregon beer news for Thursday, February 8. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day, so check back often. And if you have news to share, please contact me and I can get that updated too.
The Bier Stein (Eugene) is hosting a Fremont Brewing night featuring flights of Fremont’s barrel aged stouts: “Join us for a night of specialty beer from Fremont Brewing in Seattle, WA on February 8th. Samples & Swag from 5-8pm! Featuring 6 beers on draught:

2 Towns Ciderhouse (Corvallis) announced their latest cider to drop, Pacific Pineapple, which sounds like it could be a fun one. From the press release: “Ripe Costa Rican Gold pineapples drop in on a fresh-pressed wave of Northwest apples in Pacific Pineapple, the latest cider to be added to 2 Towns Ciderhouse’s year-round offerings. Jam packed with fresh-pressed Pacific Northwest apple character and juicy Costa Rica pineapples, this sessionable cider is the perfect blend of PNW and the tropics. Pacific Pineapple is now available for whenever you feel the need to catch the wave. Pacific Pineapple is currently available in bottles, 1/2 bbl & 1/6 bbl kegs and will be available in cans starting in March.”
Belmont Station (Portland) is hosting Ground Breaker Brewing for a gluten free beer tasting today from 5 to 8pm: “Ground Breaker, Portland’s dedicated gluten-free brewery, will be pouring free samples of their year-round beers, along with the brand-new Paddy’s Porter.”
The Hoppy Brewer in Gresham is featuring Base Camp Brewing for a beer tasting from 6:30 to 8:30pm tonight: “Join us in a Base Camp Brewing Company beer tasting event this Thursday for an evening of great beer with friends. We’ll be serving Glissade IPA, Gun Barrel IIPA, The Duke BA Flanders, Snow Bunny Blonde, Alpenglow Amber, and more you won’t want to miss!”
Portland’s Culmination Brewing will be featured at Loyal Legion Beer Hall starting today for a Culmination showcase that runs through Sunday the 11th. “Culmination Brewing Company will be here talking and sharing their great beers. Loyal Legion will have as much Culmination beer on as we can get our hands on, come enjoy it with us.”
Migration Brewing (Portland) is hosting a Seafood & Beer Dinner tonight starting at 6:30pm and it’s not too late to get tickets. “Join Migration Brewing in their Annex to embark on an 8-course culinary journey through the world’s oceans. From plate to glass, Migration Chef Casey Gipson and Chef de Cuisine Drew Benyo will pair seafood dishes with their own brews. Some of the special beers to be featured at the dinner include: Hama Mamma Oyster Stout a collaboration beer with Trever Bass of Hopworks and Hama Hama Oysters; Canadian Tuxedo Pilsner collaboration Beer with Widmer’s experimental brew team; Barrel-Aged Frankie Belgian Chocolate Stout. Ninkasi Brewing (Eugene) announced today the launch of their Beer is Love® Keg Campaign which aims to give back to Pacific Northwest non-profits for every keg of beer sold. “For every keg of Yours Truly Easy-Drinking Ale and Believer Double Red Ale sold, $5.00 will be donated to nonprofits in Oregon, Washington and Colorado. Funds collected February 14 through April 14 at participating locations will directly support the work of eight organizations operating in these states. Established in 2012, Ninkasi’s Beer is Love program supports nonprofits doing work in five core categories—women, equality, recreation, the environment, and arts and music—by offering beer donations for fundraising or volunteer events.”
