Oregon Beer News, 06/07/2017
Happy Hump Day! Here is the news and events in Oregon beer for this Wednesday, June 7. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day with the latest news, so check back often for updates. And if you have news to share, please contact me and I can get that updated as well.
Wayfinder Beer (Portland) finally has in-house beers ready to pour, this Saturday! From the press release: “At long last, after countless hurdles and delays, we are beyond pleased to announce that the first batches of non-co-lab, 100% Wayfinder beers. Our delicious, life sustaining beers are in the tanks and will start flowing from our taps Saturday, June 10. Swing down and raise a glass to the heavens with us. Our fearless brewmaster Kevin Davey reports good success right out of the gate. Firing up a new brewhouse is a surprisingly complex task, and it can take a while to work out the kinks… but Kevin is already hitting his marks with precision. We can’t wait to taste the results of his efforts. We want to thank all the amazing breweries that we’ve done collaborations with over the last year; Baerlic, Breakside, Hopworks, 54/40, Widmer, Mt. Tabor, Gigantic, Zoiglhaus, Pints, Fatheads, Ecliptic, Occidental, Ross Island, Alameda and Ancestry.” They will debut their Wayfinder Hell Pale Lager, and Doomtown IPA.
Monkless Belgian Ales (Bend) has a new beer coming out, Capitulation, a dry-hopped Belgian-style Tripel, and tonight at Bend’s White Water Taphouse they have the release party from 6 to 8pm. “Join us to celebrate the newest beer release from Monkless Belgian Ales! We will have several other Monkless beers on tap as well. Stop by for a quick glass or stay and socialize with the crew. Hope to see you here!” And Monkless says: “Taste it side by side with The Trinity and see the difference dry hopping can make.”
