Oregon Beer News, 07/10/2012
Here’s the beer news from around Oregon for Tuesday the 10th of June. As usual I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day, so check back for the latest updates. And if you have news to share please contact me and I can get it updated.
Pfriem Brewery (Hood River), the newest brewery in Hood River, is still adding the finishing touches to the tap room and brewery itself but the beer is about ready—and they’re swinging through the Gorge and Portland over the next couple of weeks with first tastings! This Saturday the 14th they’ll be at Volcanic Bottle Shoppe in Hood River at 6pm, where they’ll be pouring Belgian Strong Blonde, Belgian Dark Strong, and Wit. Thursday the 19th they’ll be at Portland’s Bazi Bierbrasserie, and Saturday the 21st back in Hood River at the 10 Speed Coffee and Dirty Fingers Bike Shop. Good chances to try Hood River’s latest!
Silver Moon Brewing (Bend): This week’s Growler Power Hour special is for a single beer: Hopnob IPA. Today and tomorrow (Wednesday) from 4 to 6pm, you can fill a growler with Hopnob for only $6—probably the best growler-fill deal around.
Sunriver Brewing (Sunriver) is open as I reported yesterday, making them officially Central Oregon’s 15th active brewery. They’ve only been open a few days but I’ll make some effort soon to visiting and checking them out.
