Oregon Beer News, 07/10/2017
Happy Monday, I hope you were able to beat the heat this weekend! Looks like today is going to be about 10 degrees cooler (at least here in Central Oregon), which I don’t mind at all. Here’s the news in Oregon beer for this Monday, July 10. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day with the latest news as I find it, so check back often. If you have news to share, please let me know and I can get that updated as well.
Belmont Station (Portland) is hosting a tasting today from 5 to 8pm with Firestone Walker Brewing: “Join us for a terrific variety in this tasting by Firestone Walker. They will be sampling: Westside Beavo IPL (collaboration with Beavertown), DBA Pale Ale, Easy Jack India Session Ale , Leo V. Oregon Craft Beer Month rolls on at all McMenamins locations, and each week features a different beer special where pints in that category are only $4.50 all day. Starting today, June 10, through June 16 (Sunday), all McMenamins Fruit Beers are only $4.50 (excluding brewmasters reserve & high-gravity beers). That means beers like Ruby and Purple Haze (their marionberry version of Ruby) but also any other specialty fruit beers on tap that aren’t high gravity or reserve, like Piña Colada Dreams IPA on tap at the Lighthouse Brewpub in Lincoln City.

All sales from Fort George during this event will go towards Team BREWPUBLIC on its quest to raise over $20,000 for the National Brain Tumor Society.”
Hillsboro appears to have an up-and-coming new brewpub, Deep Space Brewing, based out of Out of this World Pizza, and this week they are having a brewpub opening week. “Beer, cider, kombucha and wine, OH MY!
