Here’s the news in Oregon beer for Tuesday, the 28th of July. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day, so check back often for the latest news. If you have news to share, please contact me and I can get that updated as well.
Block 15 Brewing (Corvallis): Today’s the big day—the opening day of their new taproom location at 3415 SW Deschutes Street in south Corvallis. They’ve posted the tap list: “We’re offering a killer lineup of craft beer brewed on-site, including: Farmhouse Ale Batch #1; Sticky Hands; Consortium III #IPA from our Consortium Series; & several other Block 15 standards. Also available on day 1—growler & #Crowler fills on Farmhouse Ale, Aboriginale, Nebula Stout, Alpha IPA, Consortium III, and Sticky Hands. PLUS, corni fills on Farmhouse, Aboriginale, and Constorium III.”
Cascade Brewing (Portland): Tonight’s Tap It Tuesday at their Barrel House at 6pm is featuring Grapefruit Lime: “a collaboration project with visiting New Zealand brewmaster, Carl Vasta of Tuatara Brewing. This live barrel features a blend of Wheats and Triples aged with grapefruit and lime peel. Aromas of lime are backed by a firm grapefruit flavor that finishes with a mildly bitter grapefruit presence. 7.1% ABV $7.5/glass $2.50/taster”
Portland Brewing (Portland): Their OBF beer is getting tapped generally today: “Single malt. Single hop. Super S.M.A.S.H. We’re releasing an imperial version of our summer seasonal today at our Taproom! Come by and get happy hour pricing on each pint and keep the glass!”
Great Notion Brewing (Portland): This up-and-coming brewery has some location news: “It’s official…Great Notion Brewing has a new home at 2204 NE Alberta Street #101! We have acquired The Mash Tun (next to Pine State). While we wait for the federal government’s TTB approval for our brewer’s license (roughly 4 mos), please stop in for a beer! We plan to have some great brews on tap.”
