Belmont Station (Portland) has a cider tasting today with Washington’s Snowdrift Cider from 5 to 7pm: “Snowdrift’s orchard is set against a dramatic backdrop of basalt cliffs in sunny East Wenatchee, Wash., where they have been growing apples for over 30 years. Come taste a wide variety of their offerings, including their dry, semi-dry, summer red and their perry, made exclusively from central Washington perry pears.”

Meanwhile in Eugene, The Bier Stein has a cider tasting today with Seattle Cider Company and Two Beers Brewing: “Come down to taste some great beer and cider! We will have Two Beers Evo IPA, Forester Double IPA, and Rum Barrel Aged Belgian Imperial Porter on tap. For cider we’ll have Citrus, Berry, and Gravenstein Rose (the wine, not the flower). Owner Eric will be here giving out free samples and swag- pint glasses, growlers, hats, etc.” Tasting is from 6 to 9pm.

Rock Bottom Brewery (Portland): Tonight they have a tapping for a new beer, Don’t Call Me Boss IPA, from 5:30 to 6:30pm: “Madison, everyone’s favorite bartender, brewed with our Brewer to create this strong, copper colored, distinct IPA.”

McMenamins Old Church (Wilsonville): Today’s beer tasting in their Hop Solo Series is featuring Mosaic Solo, starting at 5pm: “This month as part of our hop solo series we’re featuring a pale ale brewed exclusively with mosaic hops. Flavorful and complex, mosaic hops contribute noticeable berry aromas along with notes of citrus, tropical fruits, and a floral earthiness. A daughter of Simcoe and a Nugget derived male, Mosaic hops have seen an explosion of use in craft beer. Look for them in just about any hop forward beer, especially IPA’s and Pale Ales.”

The Green Dragon (Portland): Tonight’s meet the brewer event is featuring Tomas Sluiter and Conrad Andrus of Portland’s Culmination Brewing, starting at 5pm: “Who knew you could pack so much variety into four taps? With updates on classic European styles, and new ideas about IPAs, the guys from Culmination Brewing will be at the Green Dragon Thursday night to take where no craft brewer has gone before!”
