The Green Dragon (Portland) is holding a special Green Dragon Brew Crew release today starting at 5pm, featuring Czech Yourself Pils, brewed with Green Dragon staff member Lexie Harris. “With a base of floor-malted Bohemian Pilsner Malt, this crisp traditional Czech Pilsner features a smooth, pleasant maltiness complemented by a mild spicy Saaz hop character. With drinking this easy, we dare you to have just one.” It’s 5% abv with 40 IBUs and sounds like a great summer drinker.

This Saturday, August 10, is Saraveza‘s 4th annual IIPA Festival taking place all day long! “Join us in our annual exercise in decadence to include 30+ rotating IIPA’s (some never poured before!), Double BLT’s, live music, guest brewers and a whole lot of fun!  Your $20 Entry includes a commemorative glass and 10 drink tickets. Buy Your Tickets Here!” They have a killer taplist lined up and if you don’t want to wait, they have a kick-off party on Friday from 6 to 9pm at their Bad Habit Room that you can get into for $35.

Pelican Pub & Brewery (Pacific City): Today they are releasing the latest single-batch beer in their “Lone Pelican” series, #5—Rye All the Fuss?. “The brewers at the Pelican decided to make a unique rye beer for the latest Lone Pelican incarnation. What better background to showcase an experimental hop variety than the spicy malt character that rye malt contributes? (Only 5 acres of this experimental hop variety exist in the world! It’s not even named yet.) With that in mind “Rye All The Fuss?” was brewed with pale, rye, and honey malts which give a subtle spicy malt flavor without being too sticky on the tongue.” It’s 5.3% abv and will be on tap at 7pm tonight.

Rusty Truck Brewing (Lincoln City) has cheap growler fills of their beer every Wednesday: “It’s ‘Growler Day’ today and every Wednesday at Roadhouse 101 in Lincoln City where you can find every Rusty Truck brew on tap. Today is a great time to stock up on RTB for the weekend! Growler sales continue daily for $5 and non-seasonal fills are just $12!” $5 might be the best growler fill deal I’ve yet seen!
