Oregon Beer News, 09/11/2017
Welcome back to Monday; September 11 is a somber day so raise a beer to the first responders and everyone who was there in New York 16 years ago. Here’s the news in Oregon beer for today and this week. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day with the latest news as I find it, so check back often. And if you have news to share, please contact me and I can get that posted as well.
Corvallis Beer Week starts today! This is the seventh edition of CBW, having begun back in 2011, and it runs through Sunday the 17th. “Corvallis Beer Week features dozens of fantastic craft beer events, including a Kickoff Party, sports tournaments, card tournaments and brewery tours. There’s a huge variety of tastings and promotions happening and some really awesome dinners, live music events, tap takeovers, and so much more. And don’t forget about Septembeerfest, coming up September 16 and capping off a fantastic week of craft beers.” They have a schedule of events posted on the Facebook event page.

Six-packs will be available for sale at special pricing, and three of the packs sold will contain a Golden Ticket, redeemable for dinner for two (up to $50) and a private brewery tour.”
This Saturday the 16th, McMenamins High Street Brewery in Eugene is holding their 20th annual High Street Brewfest (formerly called the Mid-Valley Brewfest)! It starts at 11am and takes place all day; they’ll feature “20 beers for 20 years” and are inviting a host of Willamette Valley breweries to participate along with a number of McMenamins breweries. Cost is $4 for a glass and $1.50 per tasting token; $17 will get you the glass and 10 tokens. Brewery tours will take place from 1 to 7pm and of course they will have live music. Be there!
