Oregon Beer News, 10/02/2013
Here’s my late edition of the Oregon beer news for Wednesday, the 2nd of October. Today has gotten away from me, but I will update this post where I can for the rest of it. And if you know of any news you’d like to share, please contact me and I can get that posted.
10 Barrel (Bend) will be releasing the Stone/10 Barrel/Bluejacket collaboration beer, Suede Imperial Porter, this Monday the 7th! This is a big beer brewed with honey, calendula flowers, and jasmine that Tonya Cornett traveled to Stone to brew. It should be hitting the 10 Barrel pub at 5:30pm on Monday.
Sky High Brewing (Corvallis) has a new beer release of their own hitting the taps today: “Today… we release… the Stratomarzen Oktoberfest!!! Join us in the TAP ROOM as we celebrate the official beginning of Fall in crazy weather Oregon Hoppy Hour from 4:00-6:00!”
This Friday the 4th is Deschutes Brewery‘s annual Jubelale celebration at both the Bend Pub and Portland Pub to officially celebrate the release of Jubelale: “Celebrate the fall season with a Jubelale! The malty, spicy, caramel and dried fruit flavors of this beer will warm your hearts and bellies this year. Although we’ve had this beer on tap for a bit, our [pubs] will celebrate the changing of the seasons on October 4th with Jubelale samples, posters available, swag for sale and food items made with and paired with this tasty beer!” Also at the Bend Pub, they will also have the label artist, Avlis Leumas, available to sign their 2013 Collector Poster of the Jubelale label.
