Oregon Beer News, 11/05/2013
Here is the news in Oregon beer for Tuesday, the 5th of November. As usual, I’ll be periodically updating this post throughout the day, so check back often. If you have news to share, please contact me and I can get that posted as well.
Belmont Station (Portland) today has a cider tasting and meet the maker featuring Seattle’s Schilling Cider from 5 to 8pm: “Co-founder and head cider maker Colin Schilling will be joining us in the bottle shop to sample many of the ciders this Seattle-area cider house offers, including the American Oak-Aged Cider, Ginger Cider, Original Hard Cider and the new winter seasonal, Spiced Cider.”
Oakshire Brewing (Eugene): It would seem Oakshire is seven years old today! “Tonight we celebrate seven years. Brewers Reserve 7 will be released and available for purchase in a special 750ml cork & cage bottle. Get yours quick, this is a very limited release. Tonight, Tuesday November 5th @ 6:00pm.” From the label I see the beer is a Barrel Aged Baltic Porter with tart cherries and is 7.07% abv. Big congrats to Oakshire!
RiverBend Brewing (Bend): They are having a special “sneak peek” of the brewpub tomorrow (Wednesday)! “Riverbend Brewery and Sports Pub would like to invite you and a guest to an exclusive sneak peek of Bend’s latest Brewery and sports pub this Wednesday November 6th beginning at 4pm till 11pm. Stop by any time and meet our award winning brewer Daniel Olsen and try some of his latest, delicious creations along with our tasty menu from Chef Gary Sobala.” It’s a good time to check out Bend’s newest brewery if you can make it.
