No posted Oregon Beer News this week—summertime in August means taking some time off from the daily postings. However there are still a bunch of events going on this week, in particular some big beer festivals, so here’s a quick list from my notes:

Tuesday 8/11:

• The Beer Bible book launch at Belmont Station
• Jalapeño Moon Special Beer Release & Tasting at McMenamins on Monroe in Corvallis
• Goose Migration – Women of the Beer Industry Night at Saraveza
• Goose Island/Oakshire – Migration Barrel Aged Seminar at Bailey’s The Upper Lip in Portland
• Cascade Brewing Tap It Tuesday

Wednesday 8/12:

• Green Dragon Brew Crew release
• 10 Barrel Beer Wars IPA Fest

Thursday 8/13:

• Start of the North American Organic Brewers Festival in Portland, which runs through Sunday
• Start of the Bend Brewfest which also runs through Sunday
• Citron Saison Limited-Edition Beer Tasting at McMenamins Edgefield
• “Goose Migration” hits Belmont Station in Portland
• Dortmunder Lager tapping at Rock Bottom Portland
• Green Dragon meet the brewer

Friday 8/14:

• Three Mugs 2nd Anniversary in Hillsboro

Saturday 8/15:

• 6th annual IIPA Fest at Saraveza, which continues Sunday
• McMenamins 20th Annual Lighthouse Brewfest in Lincoln City
• Salem Ale Works 2nd Anniversary

Sunday 8/16

• Mighty Mites Session Beer Fest
• Leikam Brewing Grand Opening in Portland

Quite a bit going on! I might have some more detailed posts about some of these like the Bend Brewfest queued up this week but the daily news posts are on holiday.
