Portland Beer Week
It was bound to happen: Portland Beer Week! It joins all the other beer weeks that have been popping up across the U.S., and with Eugene Beer Week and Medford Beer Weeks adds to the inevitable rise of Oregon-based beer weeks—along with the upcoming Corvallis Beer Week (via The New School).
From the 19th through the 28th (neatly coinciding with the Beer Bloggers Conference this weekend), Portland will be awash in a ton of special events, including a kickoff party at the Horse Brass featuring a Widmer-brewed official PDX Beer Week beer (brewed with rose hips), anniversaries for both the New Old Lompoc and Coalition Brewing, the Lagunitas beer circus, the premier of “The Love of Beer”, beer and food pairing events of all kinds, and much, much more—you can see the current lineup on the Events page.
Since I’ll be in Portland this weekend for the Conference, there’s a chance I’ll be able to visit some of the PDX Beer Week events along with the Conference; and I wish I could hang out in Portland for the full 10 days of the “week” to check out many more of the events they’ll have going on.
And if you’re in or around Portland starting this weekend, you should definitely check it out too.
