Received: 10 Barrel Brewing’s latest canned cocktails
10 Barrel Brewing expanded its canned cocktail line this spring with the addition of three new products: Disco Lemonade, AMF, and the newest, Golf Tea. I received samples of all three.
Here’s the pitch on these:
These aren’t the highfalutin, pinkies up, suit and tie types you’d usually expect at a cocktail party. They’re more the boogie on, pants off, tie tied around your head type of cocktails—the ones no great party is complete without. They’re fresh out of the test tube from 10 Barrel cocktail chemist Ben Shirley’s lab, and they’re made with all-natural ingredients—real fruit and booze, the good stuff and nothing else.
Disco Lemonade is a blend of vodka, lemonade, and huckleberry, and is 13.9% ABV. AMF is based on the “classic” drink you’re probably thinking of, a variation on Long Island iced tea with vodka, rum, gin, and tequila, with “natural flavors”; AMF gets its blue color from blue curaçao, but I don’t know if it’s included in this version. It’s also 13.9% ABV.
Golf Tea is a variation on the non-alcoholic Arnold Palmer, a base of lemonade and iced tea, with vodka added. It’s 10% ABV, a bit lighter than the others.
These should make for some interesting non-beer reviews.
