Recently, Switchback Brewing sent me samples of several of its beers, new releases for which I’d posted about: Wai-iti Cat Double IPA, Karsten Premium Lager, and Roasted Red Ale. Karsten Lager is a year-round beer, while Wai-iti Cat and Roasted Red are limited seasonals from the brewery.

Wai-iti showcases the New Zealand Wai-iti hop, and Roasted Red is a seasonal favorite with caramel malts and Simcoe hops. Karsten looks to be a clean, classic lager of the helles variety.

It’s rare that I have the opportunity to sample craft beer from Vermont, so I’ll be trying these soon and catch up on reviews.
