I recently posted the news of Deschutes Brewery’s release of Black Butte Non-Alcoholic, the company’s second NA beer, and a week ago the brewery provided me some cans of both Black Butte NA and Black Butte Porter to sample and compare side-by-side.

You can read the details in the press release I’d posted, but from what I can tell it sounds like BBNA is essentially BBP that is processed by the “patented BrewVo® technology” which removes the alcohol while “maintaining flavor and aroma.” I haven’t tried the BBNA yet, but based on the results of Deschutes’ NA Irish Style Dark, I have high hopes for how this will turn out.
