Received: Double Mountain Westerly Pilsner
Last week I posted the press release from Double Mountain Brewery about its new Westerly Pilsner, a hoppy pils brewed with a bit of rye and some west coast bitterness.
Westerly Pilsner – 5.2% ABV 25 BU
Goin’ out west, where they appreciate a lager with some extra hops. This Northwest-inspired Pilsner is crisp and dry with a hint of spice from the addition of rye, and just bitter enough to remind you that you’re not in Bohemia anymore. Go west!
A bottle of the new beer arrived this week, in the refillable 12-ounce format that the brewery is using. I always look forward to trying out a new pilsner, and will have a report up soon about it. (I also have a review of Chocolate Stout coming.)
