Seattle’s Elysian Brewing is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and as part of its celebration, the brewery put together “The Box“:
How do you celebrate 25 years of Elysian? Well, if you’re one of us, you build an experience. This thing, “The Box,” is as weird and specific a tribute as we could hope to make. Part time capsule, with 23 beers (and some other non-beer items) from our past, present, and future. Part trippy throwback grab bag, with as many odds and ends for you as we could manage to fit in one box. Stuff for you to drink, build, solve. You name it. So buy “The Box” if you want and enjoy the chaos, because 25 years is really something, and we’re glad you’re here for the ride. Boxes are only available for purchase in Washington.
It’s only available in Washington, however as part of the anniversary promotion, the brewery shipped one to me. The promo is in conjunction with a virtual tasting event taking place this Wednesday, May 26, that I’ll attend via Zoom (a regular in-person celebration isn’t possible this year).
I’ll post notes about that virtual tasting and the beers that were discussed, but in the meantime, here are the unboxing photos:

Ach, good catch! Today is the 25th and it’s for the 25th anniversary so clearly I had “25” on the brain, but yes, it’s for Wednesday the 26th. I’ve corrected the date. Thanks!
