This Valentine’s Day weekend I received a couple of bottles from Portland Brewing that were appropriate for the holiday:

(The roses were ours already.)

Rose Hip Gold, their “Belgian-style ale with notes of fruit and spice and a little citrusy bite from a generous addition of rose hips in the kettle.”

I had some of this last year after it was (re?) released and enjoyed it though I remember wishing for more Belgian character, or rose hips (or both). I’m interested in seeing if that’s changed for this year.
