Received: The newest member of the Deschutes Fresh family: Tropical Fresh IPA
A surprise package from Deschutes Brewery arrived this week, containing three cans (and some swag) of the brewery’s newest entrant to its Fresh family of IPAs: Tropical Fresh IPA.
I haven’t yet received a press release, but this hit the market locally at the start of the year, and will be available in Deschutes’ nationwide footprint by March. Tropical Fresh is 6.5% ABV with 50 IBUs, and brewed with Mosaic, Simcoe, Strata, and Experimental 586 hops. The description says:
Sit back and relax as you let the waves of pineapple, citrus and mango wash over you. Close your eyes and you can hear the breeze rustling through the palm trees. An antidote to a hazy glow, we sought a bright and beautiful color as canvas to flaunt big tropical hops.
The beer joins the year-round lineup and could be an interesting counterpoint/companion to Farmstand Fresh.
