It’s Monkey Time: I received a six-pack of Berry Monkey, the fruited sour Belgian-style tripel from Victory Brewing this weekend. I’d posted the press release about the new beer a couple of week ago, and the brewery offered to send samples, which I accepted.

Berry Monkey is 9.5% ABV and the website description says it’s a “Perfectly fruited Sour Tripel Ale loaded with raspberries and other natural flavors that add just the right balance of sweetness and tang with a smooth finish.” I’m not sure the “sour” comes from any actual souring or just the fruit, but I’ll know when I drink it.
