There’s a new Farm to Market collaboration beer from Portland’s Zupan’s Markets on the horizon, but the current one that released earlier this spring was brewed with Laurelwood Brewing as a hazy double IPA. It marks the 28th beer in this collaboration series, in which Zupan’s partners with various breweries, covering a wide variety of styles, and I received cans to review.

Zupan’s Markets, the family-owned gourmet grocer, is excited to announce the 28th installment of its Farm-to-Market beer series — a partnership with local breweries that began in 2015. For this edition, Zupan’s partnered with Laurelwood Brewing Company to release a Hazy Double IPA, marking the second collaboration between the two Portland-based companies.

The Farm to Market Hazy Double IPA offers a smooth, resiny grapefruit flavor with a tropical, dank citrus aroma, set against a backdrop of rosy straw-orange haze and a light yellow-orange tan head. The beer is crafted from a blend of premium malts and a diverse selection of hops for a complex yet balanced profile.

The new brew is the brainchild of Laurelwood’s Head Brewer, Paul Plett, and came to life in the tanks of Hopworks Brewery. Mike De Kalb, Laurelwood’s Founder, selected the B-Corp-certified Hopworks for its outstanding brewing capabilities and stellar reputation in the Portland beer community to continue Laurelwood’s tradition of crafting award-winning beers.

The farm-to-market brew is available exclusively at Zupan’s Markets in 16oz cans.
