Silver Moon Brewing’s renovated pub (pictures)
Bend’s Silver Moon Brewing re-opened their downtown pub to the public this week, after five months of renovations originally slated to last six weeks. Next weekend, on Friday, October 13 and Saturday, October 14, they are holding their grand re-opening with live music returning to the venue.
Last week the brewery held a series of soft openings to preview the changes and works any kinks out with service, the new kitchen, and food. I got an invite and stopped by last Thursday and grabbed some pictures. There was plenty of beer on tap, the kitchen was previewing the new menu, and the place was packed!
It’s worth heading down there to check out the new/old space, but in the meantime here’s a bit of a preview:
They kept the painted side entrance door, in the walkway between buildings. They have also expanded parking in the back to take up additional space in the empty lots (though that has been the case for a while now).
Hard to tell in this, but they removed the old ceiling panels and opened up the entire area to open beams and it looks fantastic.
I really like that draft system centerpiece. An old stainless (bright?) tank cut in half.
Taplist they had on the wall when we were there; since updated.
Yes they kept the mural!
Can’t attend a soft opening of a pub and not have a beer! This was the Brüno Märzen, a nice example of the style.
The (new) burgers are very good. They were sampling these out. That’s Salty Bog Cranberry Gose behind it.
Finally, shot of that alley walkway where the side door is located; they’ve added the wall shelves and seating which will be great in the summer.
If you haven’t been yet, make sure to swing down to Silver Moon to check it all out!
