Today: 10 Barrel’s Pray for Snow Party, Agrarian Ales one-year anniversary
A couple of events going on today I wanted to make note of.
First, 10 Barrel Brewing in Bend is holding their 4th annual Pray for Snow party at their Bend Pub from 5 to 9pm tonight, kicking off the winter season in style:
It’s that time again… Time to light up the parking lot and tear it down for our 4th annual PRAY FOR SNOW party here in Bend.
Live music from Seattle’s hottest Ben Union and Boise locals Customary Hip Hop, huge giveaways including ski passes from Mt Bachelor and swag from Powderhouse, Skjersass, Dakine, Backstrap, Aspect. Elk Lake resort, Pine Mountain sports and more!
Free entry, all ages and beer and food at the cash bar outside.
One of the features is the annual “sacrificing of the snowman,” basically burning a wooden “snowman” in effigy to appease the snow gods and bring lots of powder to the mountain. And, plenty of their Pray for Snow winter ale will be consumed as well.
Over in Eugene, Agrarian Ales is celebrating their one-year anniversary today of bringing farmhouse-minded, agrarian-styled beers to the community.
Agrarian has been serving up delicious beer to the community for 365 days! There are many more days of beer drinking, and we have invited the day of Saturday into the tasting room schedule. Delicious pizza will sizzle out of our cob oven and we will be offering 2-3 new beers that have never touched your lips!
Live music: Breakers Yard
Open Saturday 3pm to 8pm (maybe later)
I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about Agrarian since they opened, and one of these days I’ll make the trek to visit them. If you’re in the Eugene area today, be sure to swing by and wish them a happy anniversary and enjoy some of their great beer.
