Wolves & People Brewery releasing Vale Reserve & Goldberry in time for the holidays
Newberg, Oregon’s Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery has been quietly putting out a variety of Old World, farmhouse-inspired beers with a particular focus on capturing the terroir of Oregon. In addition to their other well-received beers, this Saturday, December 16, they are hosting a holiday release party for two new beers, Goldberry and Vale Reserve.
Here is the press release shared with me:
Join us this weekend at the brewery for the long-anticipated release of two very special beers: Goldberry and Vale Reserve. Of the seventeen new beers we’ve released in 2017 (in addition to many of our originals), these are two of our favorites yet, carefully crafted in very small batches, gently bottle-conditioned, hand-labeled and bottled one by one.
GOLDBERRY is an American wild saison aged a year in French oak Pinot noir barrels with our Amigos house sour culture and refermented with absurdly plump, aromatic local golden raspberries from Sunshower Hill. The scent of summer sunshine has officially been bottled! Just 420 flaggons of this little wonderbier are for sale ($15/500ml).
VALE RESERVE is our traditional biere de garde aged fourteen months in French oak Pinor noir barrels with house sour cultures and gently bottle-conditioned. With its rich and diverse grain bill and three-hour boil this beer’s complexity and depth of flavor is truly something to celebrate. Just 233 bottles available ($20/750ml)
We’ll have a deep tap list including rare barrel-aged brews for the day. Bottles still available at this moment include limited quantities of Instinctive Travels dry-hopped saison, Sebastian Plum Saison, Sebastian Cherry, Sebastian Smoke saison, and Melonette (kiwi). Lupercal, the collab with Trois Dames in Switzerland, is pouring great! Also, we’re momentarily stocked up on both black and blue hoodies, plus hats, and all three tee designs. Rain or shine (dress for it). All-ages! 6-bottle limit on Goldberry and Vale Reserve. Feel free to bring your own food but no outside alcohol.
The Facebook event page for the release party is here. They will be open from noon to 6pm but with the limited run of these bottles, you’ll likely want to get there sooner rather than later.
